The sections of a Saudi quotation
- Your business: legal name, address, phone, CR number and, if you are VAT-registered, your 15-digit VAT number.
- Your client: name, address and, for a business, their VAT number. You will need it on the tax invoice.[1]
- Quote number and date: one sequence, never reused.
- Validity: for example 15 or 30 days, so old prices don't come back.
- Lines: description, quantity, unit price in SAR excluding VAT, and amount.
- VAT: subtotal, VAT at 15% and total including VAT, in SAR.[2]
- Terms: deposit, payment schedule, delivery time and what is not included.
- Acceptance: a signature, or a written "accepted" from the client.
Example
| Description | Qty | Unit price | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website design (5 pages) | 1 | SAR 1,500.00 | SAR 1,500.00 |
| Hosting setup, 12 months | 1 | SAR 500.00 | SAR 500.00 |
| Subtotal (excl. VAT) | SAR 2,000.00 | ||
| VAT 15% | SAR 300.00 | ||
| Total (incl. VAT) | SAR 2,300.00 | ||
Example for a VAT-registered business. Not registered? Remove the VAT line and the VAT number, and say that prices do not include VAT.
Arabic, English or both
Many Saudi clients expect Arabic. The tax invoice that follows the quote must show its details in Arabic,[1] so a bilingual quote (English + Arabic) keeps both documents consistent.
A quote is not a tax invoice
- Don't title a quote "tax invoice" or "invoice". Use "Quotation / عرض سعر".
- The tax invoice comes after the supply, by the 15th day of the following month, from a ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing solution.[1][3] See Saudi tax invoice requirements.
- Keep the quote number on the invoice, so your client can match them.

FAQ
Is there an official quotation format in Saudi Arabia?
No. A quotation is not a tax document. A good one shows your business with CR and VAT number, the client, a quote number, date and validity, priced lines in SAR, VAT at 15% if you are registered, the total, terms and acceptance.
Should a Saudi quotation include VAT?
If you are VAT-registered, show the subtotal, 15% VAT and the total including VAT, so the client knows the real price. If you are not registered, show no VAT and no VAT number.
Does a quotation need to be in Arabic?
It is not a legal requirement for a quote, but the tax invoice that follows must show its details in Arabic, so a bilingual quote is a practical choice.
How long should a quotation be valid?
Commonly 15 or 30 days. Write the validity date on the quote.
